Dry Needling is an effective technique using fine needles to help relieve myofascial pain.
The needles release muscle trigger points, increase blood flow to promote healing and provide pain relief via endorphin release. Dry needling uses the same needles as in acupuncture; however, it takes a Western neurophysiological approach rather than the traditional Eastern Medicine approach, which uses meridian lines and Qi.
Our physiotherapists Rebecca Belov, Danny Gardner, Sarah Medcalf, Jessica Kuczynski, Michael Olivotto, Laura O’Donoghue, Tarj Townson and Kieran Wallwork are trained in dry needling and use this treatment technique extensively throughout their practice with fantastic results.
